The first bottling reserved for members of the Ardnahoe Society, the club of the young Islay distillery opened in 2019 by Hunter Laing. The spirit, from malt peated to around 40 ppm and condensed in worm tubs, matured for five years in ex-Pedro Ximénez and ex-Oloroso casks.
Sherry takes the lead with dark chocolate and raisins, backed by honeyed malt, while the peat smoke brings a maritime edge.
